Shorthaired Cat Club of Scotland Show - Saturday 19 April 2008
This is my local show, since it is normally held in Glenrothes which is only about half an hour's drive from my house and provides a welcome break from having to travel in the early hours of the morning!
Aisling came with me again, having been entered for this show before achieving her success at Preston last month and it was also the first outing for my little girl, Zoe.
Aisling proved more than worthy, winning a sixth Imperial Certificate and a seventh Grand as well as Best of Breed and First in one of her side classes. Having proved that gaining her Imperial title was no fluke, she is now retiring - although there is just a chance that I may take her to Birmingham in November for a try at a UK Grand Certificate.
Zoe had a blue ribbon day, winning second place in her Open class and all three of her side classes. Since she is still small for her age, I was very pleased with her results, particularly since she was beaten in the Open class by a very pretty Abyglen girl, bred by Aisling's breeder, Mrs Harley. She was very well-behaved and seemed to enjoy the comings and goings of the visitors and I am hopeful that, once she matures, she will show well.
