Show News Abyssinian Cat Club Show - Saturday 14 June 2008 This is one of the two annual Aby breed shows. These shows are important to owners and breeders since they provide a rare opportunity for their cats to compete only against others of the same breed throughout the day - the ultimate yardstick for quality. Jasper and Ailsa came again and both behaved extremely well. Jasper gained his second Imperial Certificate, yet another Reserve Grand, Best of Breed and first place in both his side classes. Ailsa won her second Grand Premier award, another Premier Certificate, Best of Breed and first place in one of her side classes. In addition, and rather unexpectedly, she was also awarded the title of Best in Show Neuter, which caused a degree of posing altogether alien to her normal reserved nature! In fact, all nine of the cats from Scotland had an excellent day (have a look at the RACCS web-site for the full results) making the long trip to Stratford on Avon very worth while! |
