Imperial Grand Premier
Pontaby Pasticcio (Jasper)
Jasper, my beautiful sorrel boy, was entrusted to me by Maureen and Lorraine Pontello of Pontaby Abyssinians from Cumbernauld, near Glasgow. He was born in August 2005; his father is the outstanding Dutch import UK & IGrCh One Shot from A'Far and his mother is GrCh Abychat Honeycomb.
Jasper is an example of how different feline temperaments can be since he is a bold, argumentative, naughty boy, not given to the notion of stopping anything he wants to do just because I tell him it's not a good idea. Added to that, of course, he is totally loveable and loving, enjoying nose nibbling and ear licking (mine that is, not his) in the brief intervals when he stops doing his perpetual-motion machine impersonation.
He enjoys showing and being the centre of attention and after winning his Grand in three consecutive shows in 2007, he went on to gain his Imperial title at the West of Scotland Show in December 2008. He was the very first cat of his prefix to gain this title (though not the last!) so his breeders were understandably delighted.
He is now in semi-retirement, hoping for an occasional visit to the GCCF Supreme Show to compete for a UK Grand and the odd run-out on exhibition to satisfy his enthusiasm for travel (and the treats which accompany showing).
