Duncan, my Usual boy, comes to me from Maureen and Lorraine Pontello of Pontaby Abyssinians and was born on 5 May 2009, the son of Abychat Pinballwizard and Ch. Pontaby Viviana.

When I first considered breeding, I was almost completely sure that I wouldn't have a stud cat of my own since my garden is not particularly large and outside accommodation is an obvious requirement. However, since the loss of my last dog in 2007, the part of the garden reserved for him has been only occasionally used and provides just the right amount of space for a feline boy.

Even so, I still doubt if I would have considered it if this little boy had not come along so fortuitously. This is a clear case of heart ruling head, of course, since his grandfather is GrCh Abyglen Ajax, father of my three Abyglen neuters, now neutered himself. The chance of seeing his line go on in a boy who so closely resembles him was just too good to miss and, as always, I am more than grateful to Lorraine and Maureen for allowing me to have him.
