Abyglen Astrokhan

Alban comes from the same parentage as my now departed girls Aisling and Ailsa (they can still be seen on the 'memorial' page) but is just over a year younger, having been born in March 2002. You will see from the photograph that, in spite of their common parentage, his type is quite different from that of his older sisters and so is his temperament.

He made a few show appearances in his youth but was so painfully shy and clearly hated the experience so much that he has been retired for several years. He is a lovely gentle boy, very kind with the younger cats and often, in this role, invaluable in preventing temper tantrums between the generations.

He enjoys watching the birds from the sun-room and sometimes likes some human interaction although he is not as people-centred as the others in general. Having said that, the odd bit of head-butting and nose rubbing does take place most days and his mild-mannered ways do make him a very special lad.
